Custom Gate Fabrication
Gates designed, fabricated, and welded in-house. Never outsourced, never forced to fit.
In-House Welding
What does "fabricated in-house" actually mean?
It means your gate is never handed off. A lot of fence companies sell you a gate, then order it from a shop they have never seen. Here, Eduardo, the owner, is a welder by trade, and every gate is designed, fabricated, welded, and installed by our own team. When the person quoting your gate is also the person building it, the measurements are taken seriously and the details do not get lost in translation.
That is not a marketing line, it is how the company started. Tarango Contracting has been a family business since September 2016, and in-house metalwork has been the backbone of it from day one.
What We Build
What kinds of gates do you make?
From a simple side yard gate to an automated commercial entrance, if it is metal and it swings or slides, we build it:
- Walk Gates
- Drive Gates
- Automated Sliding Systems
- Commercial Gates
- Residential Entry Gates
- Built to Your Specs
Gates pair naturally with our wrought iron and ornamental fencing, and a custom gate can be finished with electrostatic paint or powder coating to stand up to the Arizona sun.
The Process
How does a custom gate project work?
Call us or send the contact form and tell us about the opening. We come out, measure, talk through what you want the gate to do, and give you a free, clear estimate. Then the gate is fabricated and installed by our crew. With three crews running, we stick to the timeline we give you.
What decides the price of a custom gate?
The span of the opening is the biggest factor, since a wide drive gate takes more steel and more welding than a walk gate. Design detail is next: clean and simple fabricates faster than ornamental work. Automation adds a sliding system to build and set up. And the finish you choose rounds it out. No prices are guessed at over the phone; you get a real number after we see the site.
Custom Gate Questions, Answered
Can you build an automated gate for my driveway?
Yes. Automated sliding gate systems are part of our custom gate work, alongside walk gates and drive gates, for both homes and commercial properties.
Can you make a gate for a fence you did not install?
Yes. Every gate is designed and fabricated to your specs, so we can build for an existing fence line or opening, not just for fences we installed ourselves.
What is the difference between a walk gate and a drive gate?
A walk gate is a person-sized gate for foot traffic, usually a single swinging panel. A drive gate spans a driveway or vehicle entrance and can swing or slide, including automated sliding systems for openings you use every day.
My existing gate is sagging. Do I need a new one?
Not always. A sagging or damaged gate can often be repaired, and our mobile welding service handles many gate repairs on-site. If the gate is past saving, we will tell you straight and quote a replacement built in-house.
How do I keep a metal gate looking good in the Arizona sun?
A quality finish is what protects the steel. We offer electrostatic paint and powder coating to protect and restore metal gates, so the finish can be renewed without replacing the gate.
